Base pay at this store is built to compete, and the service manager will walk you through exactly where you land based on what you bring. What we can put a number on right here is the bonus. The $7 an hour figure is the top of the range. Bonus amount depends on production and is not guaranteed. Weekly and yearly figures are straight math on 40 hours and 52 weeks. EV and high voltage
Sierra EV and HUMMER EV on the GMC side, plus the Chevrolet electric lineup across the campus. GM restricts high voltage battery work to EV trained technicians, which makes that training worth real money to you.
Real diagnostic tooling
MDI2 running Techline Connect, GDS2 for scan and live data, SPS2 for module programming. GM requires MDI2 on 2021 and newer architecture, and it is here.
The GM certification ladder
GM runs its own training system through Service Technical College. Every rung on this ladder is worth more per hour than the one below it, and four people on this campus have already climbed all of it.

Service Technical Specialist coursework through GM STC, delivered as web based modules and hands on instruction.
Master Technician Certification
A performance based assessment where you solve real vehicle faults under time. You also need the matching ASE certification in that area.
World Class Technician
Awarded after eight of the nine GM Master Technician Certifications in the Mechanical area, plus the accompanying ASE certifications. Very few technicians ever get here. Courtesy has four of them.
