2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer Preview | Ruston, LA
The 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer is the first new one to take on the road in over 10 years, and it is a significant revamp from the bulky beast of years past. The new model is a small crossover with modern and stylish exterior features. It carries a fantastic reputation and longstanding legacy to new heights.
Chevrolet has only released a few photos and tidbits of information so far, and here is what we know.
Powertrains and Performance
The 2021 Chevy Trailblazer will be available in at least two trims, including the Trailblazer RS, which features a standard two-tone roof, a sporty exterior, and a sleek interior.
While the exact engine specs of the new Trailblazer cannot be confirmed yet, it is safe to hypothesize that the 2021 Trailblazer will mirror the performance of the Chevy Equinox, its closest relative in the Chevy SUV family. That would mean either a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine or a 2.0-liter turbo-four, with all-wheel drive being an option.
Considering that both the 2020 Trax and the 2020 Equinox earn a combined 27 mpg on highway/city driving, it is likely that the 2021 Trailblazer will boast similar fuel economy for its size.*
Interior Design
From the photographs Chevrolet recently released of the Trailblazer’s RS trim, it is clear that the 2021 Trailblazer has a much more streamlined interior than previous iterations. Of course, the Trailblazer will feature Chevrolet’s top-of-the-line infotainment system, programmed with GM’s latest software.
Standard Features
Chevrolet has confirmed a lengthy list of standard and available safety and technology features for the all-new Trailblazer. These include automated emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and lane-departure warning, all standard. Available features include adaptive cruise control and a rearview camera.
The 2021 Trailblazer will be available at Courtesy Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac in early 2020.
